Hustle + Serendipity = Luck

Hard work and luck are not entirely mutually exclusive.

I actually believe that hustle can lead to serendipity.

All it takes is one “yes” to get started in anything. And if you work hard, and grind out that first “yes”, then stay open to serendipity. When you’re open to serendipity, and keeping your eyes out for it, you’ll notice there’s a lot of it out there. When you’re in the mood for it, there are a lot of ways to get lucky.

The other thing which people underestimate is how much one can “bend reality” with hustle. Oftentimes, we take our situations and environments for granted or just assume that we can’t influence or change them. This stems from doubt, fear, “resistance,” or just not sticking at something for long enough.

If one is persistent for long enough, and hustles hard enough, I think you actually give yourself a chance to get lucky.

In summary, I think you can create your own luck: the harder you work, and the faster you move, the luckier you get.
