The 5 Tactics in the Longevity Toolkit

What are the tactics that we have at our disposal to affect our longevity?

As Peter Attia explains in this video, the tactics can be lumped in to five groups:

1. Nutritional Biochemistry

This is not just diet or nutrition because nutritional biochemistry is everything you’re eating but it’s thinking about it through the lens of what are the molecules, what’s the frequency in which you’re consuming them, when are you not consuming them… all of these topics

2. Exercise Physiology

This is divided in to four things that matter for longevity

  1. Stability
  2. Strength
  3. Aerobic Efficiency + Performance
  4. Anaerobic Performance

3. Sleep Physiology

Which is broken down in to sleep:

  1. Duration
  2. Depth
  3. Continuity
  4. Regularity

4. Distress Tolerance

The most important of these is meditation but of course its not the only one.

5. Exogenous Molecules

This includes any molecule thats formulated that you put in your body.

  1. Drugs
  2. Supplements
  3. Hormones
